England’s celebration following a wild win over Mexico in the Round of 16 was dampened after midfielder Jordan Henderson was injured in bizarre fashion, hurting his wrist after the team celebrated with English fans in Mexico on Sunday night.
The Three Lions had been celebrating with their supporters while “Wonderwall” by Oasis played over the Estadio Azteca sound system when Henderson went to jump over a dasher board and fell hard onto the pitch.
A fellow England teammate saw and quickly waved over for the medical staff to come check on Henderson.
