With the fantasy season running out of runway, it is time to forget about long-term sustainability. Now is the time to find the hottest bats sitting on the waiver wire, hop on board and ride the streak until the wheels fall off — or, preferably, until there is a trophy in your hands.
Connor Norby was Baltimore’s second-round pick in the 2021 draft. He played nine games for the O’s before being traded to the Marlins, where he mostly underwhelmed over parts of three injury-riddled seasons.
Norby, however, seems to have found his footing with the Rockies after being acquired at the trade deadline and called up on Aug. 10.
