Disney World’s latest new feature is getting trashed.
Walt Disney World is rolling out a new generation of high-tech, solar-powered garbage cans across its Florida resort, but the seemingly innocuous upgrade has sparked heated backlash from Disney fans.
The new “smart” bins are gradually replacing the familiar, flat-topped cans that have dotted Disney World for decades, with the rollout reaching the resort’s four theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs, according to a statement.
