Emmerdale is heading for a huge week of drama as Joe Tate and Dawn Taylor’s wedding day finally arrives. But Dawn is still planning to run away with Billy.
The wedding has been building for some time. With Dawn secretly preparing to flee, Joe has no idea that his big day could be about to fall apart.
Their escape plan has already hit a major obstacle. Caleb decided they couldn’t leave before the wedding. And with secrets continuing to pile up, the wedding episodes look set to bring everything crashing down.

Dawn and Billy’s plan is halted by Caleb
Dawn believes Joe was responsible for attacking Billy. However, Billy has since discovered that it was actually Kev, with Caleb having known the truth all along.
Despite this, Caleb decided that Dawn didn’t need to know.
Dawn and Billy had originally planned to leave before the wedding, with Dawn desperate to get away from Joe as quickly as possible.
But Caleb is arranging new passports for them and wants Joe to suffer maximum humiliation. So, he told Billy that they wouldn’t be getting their things until the wedding day itself.
Billy immediately knew that Dawn wouldn’t be happy about the change of plan.
Although she wants to escape from Joe, Dawn still loves him and is carrying his baby. When Billy gave her the update, she insisted that they would leave that night regardless.
However, Billy then called Dawn and pretended he was stuck and wouldn’t be able to get home until the following morning.
In reality, he was at Caleb’s house, where the pair were working out a new plan.
Now, with the wedding finally approaching, things are set to take a devastating turn.
