Peter Grimyser spent 27 years navigating those responsibilities during his career with the University of Wisconsin–Madison Police Department.
Grimyser eventually retired as a Detective/Sergeant, having gained extensive experience in criminal investigations, critical incident response and public safety. His work involved coordinating with university officials, fellow officers and outside organisations to address sensitive situations requiring careful judgement.
His interest in law enforcement led him to Marian University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice in 1998. He also worked part-time with the Cottage Grove Police Department in Wisconsin, gaining experience in community policing and the challenges facing local law enforcement agencies.
