First, profiles are anonymous by default, with the option to upload hidden or blurred photos, only unlocked when you consent to give a chat partner a “Private Key.” Second, the app has a Stealth Mode feature that hides the icon and mutes notifications, so another person using your phone won’t accidentally stumble on the app.

Another major similarity to AFF: Ashley Madison skews both male and older, with the 2015 data breach revealing that roughly 80 percent of the site’s users are men, and the most active age group is 30-49.
