CHICAGO — The Yankees have sent Enyel De Los Santos packing just over two weeks after acquiring him at the trade deadline.
The club designated De Los Santos for assignment Wednesday, which came as somewhat of a surprise if only because of how soon it happened after the trade, though he had a rough introduction to the Yankees.
In five games, De Los Santos got tagged for 10 runs in 6 ¹/₃ innings, including seven runs in 1 ²/₃ innings against the White Sox on Monday night.
