All-Star reliever-turned-starter Garrett Crochet has been seen as pretty likely to go. However, as The Post reported, Crochet’s plan is to keep starting for the White Sox (or whomever acquires him) for health maintenance purposes but only to pitch in October if there’s an extension.
You can’t blame the superb reliever-turned-starter with one Tommy John on his ledger, considering he’s already up from 12 ²/₃ innings in 2023 to 111 ¹/₃ on a league-leading 21 starts and 157 K’s, for being concerned about his heath.
