The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) were held at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, and broadcast live on Netflix. Hosted by Kristen Bell, the ceremony celebrated the best performances in film and television over the past year.
Here are the 2024 SAG Awards winners
Wicked and Shōgun had the most film and television nominations respectively, each beginning the night as finalists in five categories. However, while Shōgun dominated by winning four SAG Awards, Wicked failed to snag a single trophy, ultimately finishing the night empty-handed. It’s a blow to the musical’s Oscars hopes, as the SAG Awards have historically been a decent indicator as to how the Academy Awards are likely to play out.
Sunday’s ceremony also honoured Jane Fonda with the SAG Life Achievement Award, granted both for her acting career and her humanitarian work.
