Trip planning is the least appreciated part of traveling for Filipinos, even as many spend hours organizing a single trip, according to a survey by travel booking platform Klook.
“Travel planning is one of the least appreciated tasks in a travel group, and resonates for many Filipino barkadas [Friend group],” Klook said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Being the group’s unofficial travel manager means practically taking on a whole separate full-time job… minus the salary,” it added. “While everyone else is relaxing, the planner is still on duty.”
The platform’s latest survey showed that a single trip could take 10 to 40 hours of planning, including managing group chats and coordinating trip schedules.
