The Nets snapped their longest losing skid of the season with a slump-busting wire-to-wire 103-84 win against the shorthanded Hornets in Charlotte, N.C.
The Nets came in having dropped seven straight before defensively smothering the life out of the Hornets, leading by as many as 24 points and never trailing in the game.
The Nets (15-33) are just 2-12 since Jan. 4 — with both of their wins coming against fellow lottery hopefuls — and remain fifth in the lottery-odds standings.
