Fred Sirieix previously revealed the changes he has made to his lifestyle, admitting that “time has well and truly caught up with me now”.
Aged 54, Fred has become a regular on TV screens in recent years thanks to stints on shows like I’m A Celebrity, First Dates and Tour de Fred – Ireland: Part Deux, which airs today (February 1).
The telly star has also amassed a smitten legion of fans, often left swooning over the dad-of-two. But according to fitness fanatic Fred, he has been forced to scale back his workouts due to getting older.

Fred Sirieix forced to make change
Fred is no stranger to taking part in a gruelling workout. As Men’s Health reported, Fred cranks out 301 push-ups every morning, before moving on to squats and finishing with shadow boxing using hand weights.
Fred also regularly gives fans a look inside his intense fitness routines. Earlier this week, he uploaded a video to Instagram of himself and his Team GB diver daughter, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, working up a sweat at a gym.
However, Fred previously revealed he’s had to make some major changes to his workouts as he’d had to “listen to my body more attentively”.

Fred says ‘my body won’t allow it’
Back in September, Fred took to his Instagram and shared a video of himself in the gym. In the caption, he confessed: “How times change!
“Not so long ago I’d train like an athlete up to three hours a day while doing a 12/14 hours full on restaurant shift.” Fred added: “Father Time has well and truly caught up with me now. I can’t do what I was doing anymore.
“My body won’t allow it. I’m still pushing myself but at a different pace. Only now I have to listen to my body more attentively.”
Fred on why he works out
Meanwhile, in 2023, Fred spoke about his fitness regime and revealed that fitness has become more important to him as he’s gotten older.
He told MailOnline: “I used to do lots of different things, triathlons, marathons, boxing, I am a bit older now, so I don’t compete anymore, but I train just as hard as I did before.”
Fred also added: “It’s a way of life, I have always done sports and if I don’t do it I feel fidgety and I need to exercise. It’s important for my head, the Romans used to say a healthy mind, a healthy body. The older you get, the more you realise how important it is.”
Watch Fred on Tour de Fred – Ireland: Part Deux on Sunday (February 1) at 11:30am on ITV1.
