This has been a couple of weeks mostly filled with downtime in American team sports, with the Super Bowl behind us and both the NHL and NBA on shutdowns for the Winter Olympics and the All-Star break, respectively.
MLB spring training games don’t even start for the Yankees (Friday) and the Mets (Saturday) until later this week, but at least there has been some news being generated from Tampa, Port St. Lucie and other camps across Florida and Arizona on a daily basis.
