The Wanted star Max George has received a visit from his girlfriend Maisie Smith, with the pair pictured holding hands in hospital amid his heart issues.
Last week, Max shocked his fans by revealing on social media that he was rushed to hospital due to heart complications.
When he first shared the news, not a lot was known about his condition. But he originally believed he would have to spend Christmas in hospital.
However, it seems Max’s surgery is just round the corner as he posted another Instagram Story today (December 19) to let fans know his “prep work” has began.

Max George’s heart issues
In an update earlier this week, Max explained he has an issue “with the bottom part” of his heart. His heart rate was so low that it had to be monitored 24/7, and he explained he would need a pacemaker put in.
We now know he has a second-degree ventricular block, also known as an AV block, in his heart. But through the whole process he has remained adamant he is “very lucky” to be in hospital getting treatment.
On Monday (December 16) he posted another update sharing the news that he may actually be home in time for Christmas as the surgery is going to be “way quicker” than anticipated.
Max also thanked those who have sent loving messages to him, his family and friends. One of which includes his girlfriend, Maisie Smith.
