The Knicks don’t win Game 2 over the 76ers Monday night without two massive plays by Isaiah Hartenstein in crunch time.
With roughly 18 seconds left and the Knicks down by two, the 25-year-old came up with an offensive rebound after Donte DiVincenzo missed a 3-point attempt and was able to bounce pass the ball to OG Anunoby, who dished it to DiVincenzo for another 3-pointer that this time went in, putting the Knicks up 102-101 with 13 seconds remaining.
Hartenstein then contested a Tyrese Maxey shot on a quick drive to the basket with around nine seconds left that Maxey missed, leading to the Knicks’ miracle 104-101 win to take a 2-0 lead in the first-round NBA playoff series; Hartenstein was not officially credited with a block on the play but he at the very least impacted the shot.
