After two shock upset wins in Wild Card Weekend and last weekend’s Divisional Round, the Washington Commanders are just one win away from the Super Bowl; to get there, they’ll have to get through their NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Last weekend, the Commanders took down the No. 1-seeded Detroit Lions 45-31 to advance to the conference championship game for the first time in 31 years; it’s their seventh overall appearance in the title game, but first since 1991. The Eagles have been here more recently, winning the 2023 NFC Championship and advancing to the Super Bowl, where they ultimately lost to Kansas City. This year, they advanced after a snowy 28-22 win over the Rams.
