THE NATIONAL Government’s (NG) debt service bill declined by over 36% in September on lower amortization payments, the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) said.
The latest Treasury data showed payments made by the government for its obligations dropped by 36.73% to P207.46 billion in September from P327.89 billion in the same month a year ago.
Month on month, however, debt service surged by 172.56% from P76.12 billion in August.
