Camila Giorgi retired from tennis this week without any warning.
The 32-year-old Italian pro — a four-time winner on the WTA Tour, who came up short to Serena Williams in the Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2018 — was listed on the International Tennis Integrity Agency’s (ITIA) retired players list on Tuesday.
That paperwork removed her from the list of players who get drug tested.
