Instead, I highly recommend spending $50 more and snagging the actual best Dyson deal of the moment: The Dyson V12 Detect Slim for $449.99 at Walmart’s conveniently timed summer sale.
I really love this vacuum, and I test vacuums professionally, so you can trust me when I say it’s worth the investment. I suggest the V12 Detect Slim to just about anyone who asks for a cordless vacuum recommendation because it’s the cheapest Dyson vacuum with the green laser. If you’re not yet a believer in Dyson’s laser technology, I’m fully convinced that you will be the first time you shine it on a corner of your floor that looked debris-less otherwise. The laser highlights invisible hairs and tiny specks of dust that even the LED lights on other cordless vacuums I’ve tested miss.
