THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said it entered into a partnership with AstraZeneca PLC, which is considering establishing a clinical research center in the Philippines.
In a statement on Monday, the DTI said AstraZeneca could set up its next clinical research center of excellence in the Philippines, which the department hopes will position the country as a growing life sciences investment hub in Asia.
AstraZeneca has invested more than P3 billion in Philippine clinical trials in the past six years, with plans to support broader health ecosystem initiatives, the DTI said.
