Cam Ward called people going after his family on social media “weird” amid the Titans’ 0-3 start to the season but said that his play on the football field would “ultimately take care of a lot of it.”
The Titans’ starting quarterback addressed the issue after his sister, Chantel Ward, posted on social media about the threatening messages she and her family received from people.
“I mean, at the end of the day, people are weird,” Ward told reporters at the Titans facility on Wednesday. “They can say whatever they want at the end of the day, but I think football will take care of a lot of it. My family knows the position I’m in and what I’ve wanted my whole life. They’re in this position as well with me.”
