As of Wednesday, Sept. 9, NASA’s Daily Moon Guide tracker tells us the Moon is in Waning Crescent phase, with 4% of its surface visible.
Tonight’s only real feature is the Grimaldi Basin, which should be visible with a telescope or binoculars.

The next Full Moon will take place on September 26.
