TV favourite Rylan Clark has shared an adorable birthday message to mum Linda and revealed that she’s home from hospital in time to celebrate.
Over the weekend, Rylan revealed that Linda – who appears with her son on Celebrity Gogglebox – had been treated in A&E.
Rylan didn’t share the details of Linda’s mystery illness, but he did share his heartbreak that she might not make it home in time to celebrate her 73rd birthday…

On Friday night (July 18), Rylan informed his followers that he wouldn’t be hosting his BBC Radio 2 show the following day due to Linda’s hospitalisation.
He said: “Mummy Linda isn’t well sadly so I won’t be hosting the show tomorrow. Thank you to the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Especially Tanya, who really looked after my mum.
“Will keep you updated as she’s on the mend. She’s a trooper.”
Hours later, Rylan shared another update. “She’s doing really well thankfully. All going good. Cheers for all your messages.” He then shared: “She’s doing really well. Now chatting away with a lovely lady next to her. Cheers for all your messages.”
The following morning, he took to his socials again, posting: “She’s all good. Hoping she will be at home for her bday. She’s now worried about wheelie bins going out again.”
Rylan then revealed: “Antibiotics have worked. Letting her home on orals. So she’s home for her bday. Cheers everyone for your messages. Means a lot. Off sort wheelie bins x.”
Sweet birthday tribute
Today (July 20), Rylan has shared a new update. While he hasn’t revealed what was wrong with Linda and caused her to be hospitalised, he has said that she is home for her birthday.
He posted a series of throwback pictures of himself with his lovely mum and said: “Happy Birthday to the best mum. So glad you’re home for it. Love you x.”
