Stephen A. Smith will reportedly get more free reign to explore topics beyond sports with his new ESPN contract.
While Smith and ESPN have not finalized a deal, the sports personality and the network are nearing a new contract worth $120 million for six years.
With that massive deal, Smith will have the opportunity to “pitch non-sports ideas to the parentco” since Disney will be footing some of the bill for the contract, according to a report by Puck.
